Hints On Creating Texture

  • A sharp image is a vital factor in enhancing the effect of the texture in a photograph.
  •
  • It is best to use a tripod to get rid of the risk of camera shake.
  •
  • Make sure that the subject you choose is small enough to provide enough depth of field for all the important details to shown sharply.

  • As a rule, subjects with bold, deeply indented textured surfaces will be more effective when lit with a soft light, and those with a more subtle texture need less diffused and less angled light to enhance it.
