Colour Scheme

These are basically the colours I have decided to use throughout my magazine:

I have chosen darker shades of each colour with the exception of purple, as rock/alternative music magazines tend to stick to darker colours, however, the brighter purple and the white will be more eye catching against the other shades.

I chose to use BLACK, PURPLE and RED because it was a stereotypical colour for my music genre. When people think of rock, metal and other alternative music genres they always think of a lot of black, red because of connotations of blood, and it is a colour included in the Union Jack flag meaning it also ties in with a punk genre, and purple (probably because its a sort of gothic colour).

I chose to use BLUE because it is included in the Union Jack flag.

I liked the idea of having a slight amount of GREEN in the colour scheme, so that there would have been an off shot, random colour which clashes with the rest. I think that if i am to use this colour it would be either on clothing or on the DPS somewhere.

I have added WHITE into my colour scheme so that it will stand out against the other colours, particularly black, as it is an opposite colour.
