Colour usage: the background will be dark with bright or light writing. this means the writing will be easer to read and if it is a bright colour it will be more interesting. I could also split the articles into sections by colour.
Image usage: A large image of the model from the DPS will be standing at the side of the page. This will advertise the main story.the camera angle could be a long shot, mid shot or a low angle shot.
Text usage: im not sure which narrative voice I would use to list the articles, but the editors' note would be informal. This is so that the reader would feel like they are being spoken to personally. The articles could have tag likes which include teasers so that they seem interesting. The masthead/title is included at the top of the page and could have a slogan underneath it.
Layout and font: The main focal point will be the title, as you then read down the list of articles and eventually down to the editors' note. None of the text will be diagonal unless I add a slogan.
